This will be a workshop centered around finding the power in the little details of our lives, and piecing them together to create a piece that shows how much every part of who we are matters, and deserves to be heard.
Lets write, let’s perform, let’s create something impactful.
All ages: free for youth, $5-$15 sliding scale for adults (25+). All proceeds go to the facilitator!
Friday, March 8th 7-9pm
About the facilitator:
Bella is a local slam poet who competes and has performed at various events such as the WeMake Disrupt Conference, Invisible Spectrums, Ori Art Gallery, Intersect Fest, and various other pop up art events. She is 24 year old California native who found herself in Portland after a few things went wrong, or completely right if you ask her now. Her poems center around her experiences as a woman of color, her eating disorder, abusive relationships, and the hope in between it all.
