The C.C. Stern Type Foundry and Museum of Metal Typography is holding an open house from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 30. Housed in a Northeast Portland industrial complex, the foundry and working museum are dedicated to cultivating the connection between the art of fine letterpress printing and the industry of making the metal ornaments and type that it requires. Come and visit one of the only type foundries between San Francisco and Vancouver, BC, and see how type is made.
