Vintage Books invites you to join us for a literary sci-fi event October 6th at 2 pm.

Authors Fonda Lee, Curtis Chen and Mike Chen will lead us in an hour of discussion, answering questions and signing their books!

Fonda Lee is an author of science fiction and fantasy novels for adults and teens. Her fantasy trilogy, the Green Bone Saga, begins with Jade City, which won the 2018 World Fantasy Award for Best Novel and was a finalist for the Nebula and Locus Awards. The sequel Jade War is now available. Her young adult science fiction novels have garnered accolades including being named Junior Library Guild Selections and Andre Norton Award finalists. Fonda is a recovering corporate strategist, black belt martial artist, and action movie aficionado living in Portland, Oregon
Once a Silicon Valley software engineer, Curtis C. Chen now writes fiction and runs puzzle games near Portland, Oregon. His debut novel Waypoint Kangaroo (also a 2017 Locus Awards Finalist and an Endeavour Award Finalist) is a science fiction thriller about a superpowered spy facing his toughest mission yet: vacation. The sequel, Kangaroo Too, sends our hero to the Moon.

Mike Chen is a lifelong writer, from crafting fan fiction as a child to somehow getting paid for words as an adult. He has contributed to major geek culture websites (The Mary Sue, The Portalist), covered the NHL for mainstream media outlets, and ghostwritten corporate articles appearing in Forbes, Buzzfeed, Enterpreneur, and more. A member of SFWA and the Codex Writers group, Mike calls the San Francisco Bay Area home, where he can often be found playing video games and watching Doctor Who with his wife, daughter, and rescue animal.

This event is free and all are welcome.
