We are against hate which targets continually marginalized people, no matter if they are Asian, Asian-American, Pacific Islanders, Black, Indigenous, people of color, and LGBTQ+ identifying. We support movements for reform, protest, and equality. A collection of resources and organizations working toward these efforts, and those which offer support, can be found here.

We will continue to amplify marginalized voices, and welcome all, their ideas, their events, and their words. Our words here are not enough, but we wanted to say we support you and will continue to do so through our actions.

An additional list of support and relief funds can be found here.

The Unseen: Open for Submissions

July 20, 2019 @ 5:00 pm - 9:00 pm

Free
Taborspace, 5441 SE Belmont St, Portland, OR 97215 + Google Map

The Quiet Crowd is having a huge art show and we are open for submissions!

The Unseen is a curated exhibition showcasing marginalized artists in their personal work to freedom and self expression. We are looking for female, non-binary, and LGBTQ artists willing to share their personal journey’s as the Unseen, those who have been shut out or quieted by the greater artistic establishment. Here we may give voice to ourselves. We are looking for visual artists, acoustic performers, spoken word artists, or performance based works.

The event will be open to the public and will include a private showing of the first scene of the Quiet Crowd. Have wine, food, and listen to La Vie En Rose with us in the garden.

To submit please email thequietcrowdfilm@gmail.com and tell us a little about your work and/or send us an example and how you think you’d best be showcased.
