We are against hate which targets continually marginalized people, no matter if they are Asian, Asian-American, Pacific Islanders, Black, Indigenous, people of color, and LGBTQ+ identifying. We support movements for reform, protest, and equality. A collection of resources and organizations working toward these efforts, and those which offer support, can be found here.
We will continue to amplify marginalized voices, and welcome all, their ideas, their events, and their words. Our words here are not enough, but we wanted to say we support you and will continue to do so through our actions.
An additional list of support and relief funds can be found here.

Time Fuck: A face2face Collaboration w/ Lidia Yuknavitch
July 17 @ 11:00 am - 4:00 pm$450
Linear time not only doesn’t always make sense on the page, I’m not sure it even makes sense in anyone’s life anymore. If you are writing in any form and you are driven to create time distortions, disruptions, fragmentations, displacements, rearrangements, liminalities, loop-de-loops, repetitions, layers, then join us on July 17th and 18th. In person.
On the first day, Lidia and the entire Corporeal Squad will each run you through some portals around writing with time disruptions, and on the second day Lidia and Domi will throw some mean on it, get down to it, show you four strategies for why, when, and how to write against the grain of linear time. We’ll eyeball some great examples, too. Participants will walk away with works in progress and new strategies that correspond to what it feels like to be outside of linear time.
Check out all the details, and please read the COVID note carefully:
WHAT & WHO: A generative writing collaboration facilitated by Lidia Yuknavitch, with assists from the whole Corporeal Squad: Domi Shoemaker, Anya Pearson, Katie Guinn, Andy Mingo and Daniel Elder
WHERE: The Corporeal Writing Center in downtown Portland. (!!!)
WHEN: Saturday July 17th and Sunday July 18th, 2021, from 11am to 4pm. There will also be a meet-and-greet session hosted over Zoom on Friday, July 16th, at 7pm.
HOW MUCH: $450. Limited capacity, with a couple scholarships available, please click here to apply.
COVID-related info: Due to continued concerns about the spread of Covid-19 and its variants, attendance for this collaboration will be limited when compared to our packed rooms of the past. Proof of vaccination will be required in advance; you will be contacted by our Navigator, Daniel, in order to send him a photo/scan of your vaccination documentation. Attendees must be two weeks removed from their final vaccination as of no later then July 16th in order to attend. We apologize to anyone this excludes who has not yet been able to receive the vaccine (or has a health condition that precludes them from getting vaccinated), however we have collectively decided that requiring proof of vaccination is the safest way for us to move forward.
And though we are starting to re-open, for those leery of travel, we will continue to host plenty of online offerings.
