We are against hate which targets continually marginalized people, no matter if they are Asian, Asian-American, Pacific Islanders, Black, Indigenous, people of color, and LGBTQ+ identifying. We support movements for reform, protest, and equality. A collection of resources and organizations working toward these efforts, and those which offer support, can be found here.
We will continue to amplify marginalized voices, and welcome all, their ideas, their events, and their words. Our words here are not enough, but we wanted to say we support you and will continue to do so through our actions.
An additional list of support and relief funds can be found here.

Writing the Tarot: Online Story Workshop
September 30, 2020 @ 7:00 pm - 9:00 pm$15
Destory writer’s block using a deck of Tarot cards as prompts. Workshop participants complete a short story draft in two hours.
Need a creative jumpstart? The Writing the Tarot webinar uses the Tarot as a set of evocative prompts to compose a complete short story draft. This two-hour workshop walks participants through the process in a painless, low-key manner, to help them arrive at a story they probably weren’t expecting. Especially valuable for writers who are feeling creatively blocked, the HOCUS Tarot Method works equally well for seasoned writers who want to challenge themselves to stretch in new directions. 95% of past workshop participants said they were happy with the draft they generated and definitely planned on writing it through to final draft.
Some quotes from past participants:
• “I write memoir and personal essays. Not fiction. When Andy said I would have a story by the time we were done, I didn’t believe him. I had a lot of reservations about what I’d come up with…and beyond my wildest expectations, he was right! I’m absolutely amazed. I want to work on this story…thank you!”
• “I tend to be a fairly cliche fiction writer in terms of plot and this forced me to think in new ways.”
• “I am not a fan of guided writing, prompts, etc. This was different, fun, and low pressure.”
• “I had an amazing time, and I walked away with a pretty dang good first draft of a story.”
