Metamorphic Door BOOK LAUNCH PARTY & POETRY READING

Buckman Publishing Presents: Carolyn Supinka’s Metamorphic Door. Come celebrate the release of Carolyn’s debut collection and National Poetry Month with readings by local poets Karolinn Fiscaletti, Karah Kemmerly, Erin Perry & Carolyn Supinka. Carolyn’s reading will include projections of the comic portions of the book. This event is happening a few days before the official release date of Metamorphic Door so come and snag your copy of the book early and get it signed by the author! All-ages, free & ADA-accessible. Intro to Screenprinting

Join us to learn about silkscreen printing! Learn how to create stencils, prep and process screens while gaining knowledge about tools, tips, and tricks for the photo emulsion process. You’ll have the chance to acquire best practices for setting up your print station, printing and registration while gaining practice with the medium. Our studio area uses only water-based silkscreen inks and is a primarily a non-toxic studio environment. After an amazing and special BIPOC Adoptee showcase at the Armory in March, we're back to our regularly scheduled programming at Tin House/Bishop&Wilde (NW 26th and Thurman)! On Thursday April 11th, we're excited to host local luminaries Lydia Kiesling and Ami Patel and welcome Jane Wong who is traveling from Seattle to be with us.  Lydia Kiesling (she/her) is a novelist and culture writer. Her first novel, The Golden State, was a 2018 National Book Foundation “5 under 35” honoree and a finalist for the VCU Cabell First Novelist Award.
