Unlikely Stories, an electronic magazine of art, and Rigorous, a journal by people of color, are joining forces to bring a unique poetry and literary event. The reading will immediately follow the fantastic Festival of Language, and will be hosted by Rigorous editor Kenning JP Garcia and Unlikely editor Jonathan Penton. Unlikely Stories has been running on the web since 1998, and spawned a print arm, Unlikely Books. Rigorous was unleashed on Inauguration Day, 2017, and has published art, literature, and interviews by people of color.
