Monster Pageant 2: Return to Runway Island

Monster Pageant stomps back to Portland on June 14th with MONSTER PAGEANT 2: RETURN TO RUNWAY ISLAND. The event will run from approximately 6:30 – 8:30pm and is ALL AGES. After the main event, there will be MONSTER KARAOKE from 9pm-12:30, which will be 21+. More info to come! The League of Exceptional Writers

In “Writing on the Wild Side,” authors Susan Fletcher and Rosanne Parry teach the pleasures and perils of writing stories with animal characters. Hosted by Rosanne Parry, the League of Exceptional Writers is a monthly workshop where authors and illustrators share their knowledge with kids, ages 8 to 18 years old, who are interested in creating books. Children’s Book Week Read Aloud Pajama Party

Celebrate the 100th Anniversary of Children’s Book Week at Books Around the Corner. Wear your pajamas and bring your favorite picture book or read one of ours! Readers young and old will get to be in small groups to encourage confidence while reading aloud. Children’s activity guides with a super cool poster will be availale all week while supplies last for FREE! This is an ALL AGES DROP IN event! We will also be raffling off one of our favorite bedtime stories!

Graphic Novel Event with Graham Annabel

Local artist returns to Green Bean Books with Peter & Ernesto: The Lost Sloths on Saturday, April 13th at 1pm. The unlikely duo Peter and Ernesto are the best of friends and back better and funnier than ever. When a hurricane destroys their favorite tree, they’re off on their biggest adventure yet in search of a new home! A signing will follow the reading.

Family Poetry Circle
