Quinton Hallett Poetry Reading

Quinton Hallett’s poetry reading was originally scheduled on May 13, 2020, but the Pandemic intervened and the reading needed to be rescheduled. It will now be livestreamed on March 10, 2021 on the Ledding Library YouTube Channel. Quinton Hallett writes and edits from Noti, Oregon. She has four chapbooks (Quarry, 1992; Shiver Quench Slake, 2004; Refuge from Flux, 2010; Stranger by the Hour, 2018). Claudia Savage Poetry Reading

Claudia Savage’s poetry reading was originally scheduled on June 10, 2020, but the Pandemic intervened and the reading needed to be rescheduled. It will now be livestreamed on April 14, 2021 on the Ledding Library YouTube Channel. Arab American poet, essayist, educator, and performer Claudia F. Saleeby Savage is one-half of the sound-poetry performance duo Thick in the Throat, Honey and a 2018-2022 fellow of The Black Earth Institute. Her poems and interviews have been published widely. She’s garnered awards from Jentel, Ucross, The Atlantic Center for the Arts, The Mineral School, Hambidge, Oregon State University, Brush Creek, and Portland’s Regional Arts and Culture Council.

Un/Rooted: A Hybrid Form Event

An engaging evening with some of Milwaukie and Portland’s most talented hybrid artists performing works that integrate poetry or storytelling with other art forms on the themes of place, home, and rootedness (or lack of).
