Plonk’s 4th annual prompt writing night!

We want to help you meet your 2019 writing goals. We’ll provide the prompts and the microphone. You bring paper and a favorite writing implement. You get 30 minutes to write and then we share (but only if you want). This is our 4th annual prompt writing January, and we can’t wait to see you there.

Join us for another amazing poetry slam and open mic!!! This slam is the second of four qualifiers for our second semi-final to pick our team for next year! Ghost Town Poetry Open Mic Featuring A Book Launch for Christopher Luna’s first full-length volume of poetry Message from the Vessel in a Dream (Flowstone Press) Note: Due to the venue’s concerns about limited seating, the evening will be split into two sessions. Christopher will deliver two readings–at approximately 8pm and 9:30pm. To accommodate as many people as possible, he will also be available to sign copies of the book from 5-6pm. What We’re About This is a safe space to share your words and to enjoy others sharing theirs. Our intent is to reinvigorate the poetic scene in SE as a collective group of artists and aficionados.
