Friday Night Collage

Low-key collage session First Fridays of the month hosted by Hope Amico FREE! We will have magazines, ephemera, paper, photos, mats and blades, scissors and glue. Workshop: Hot Off the Press: Traditional Printing and Food Connections with Daniela del Mar/Letra Chueca Press (3 weeks)

Group Size: 12 | Leader: Daniela Del Mar What do kitchens and print shops have in common? In this dynamic workshop, students will use the vehicle of letterpress printing to explore personal connections to food and food traditions. We will learn the fundamentals of analog design and the importance of book arts in a digital age, then print our own designs incorporating pressroom materials – lead type, wood type and ornaments- with personal experiences. Virtual Risograph Basics!

Welcome to our Risograph Basics course: a printing, collage, experimentation, and mark making extravaganza! Get to know Outlet and our RISO sisters (Barbara, Janet, Corita, and Tina) and learn the basics of this fun and unique print method with Kate Bingaman-Burt! This workshop is a great place to start if you’re new to riso, or if you’d like a refresher! Workshop: Tell Your Story! Risograph Printing and Zine Making with Kate Bingaman-Burt & Leland Vaughan (3 weeks)

Class Size: 15 | Leaders: Kate Bingaman-Burt & Leland Vaughan This workshop will focus on risograph printing and zine making, with an emphasis on using printmaking and books as vessels for your ideas and creative experiments.
