Risograph Basics @ Outlet!

Welcome to our Risograph Basics course: a printing, collage, experimentation, and mark making extravaganza! Get to know Outlet and our RISO sisters (Barbara, Janet, Corita, and Tina) and learn the basics of this fun and unique print method with Kate Bingaman-Burt! This workshop is a great place to start if you’re new to riso, or if you’d like a refresher! We’ll take a deep dive into risograph history, an overview of how these machines work, the stencil-duplicator process, and the quirks and fun (sometimes unpredictable) outcomes of riso printing. Workshop: Tell Your Story! Risograph Printing and Zine Making with Kate Bingaman-Burt & Leland Vaughan (3 weeks)

Class Size: 15 | Leaders: Kate Bingaman-Burt & Leland Vaughan This workshop will focus on risograph printing and zine making, with an emphasis on using printmaking and books as vessels for your ideas and creative experiments. We’ll explore mark making, drawing, not-drawing, storytelling, collage, and more all through the lens of printing and zines! Zero drawing experience is needed—all are welcome! We kick perfectionism to the curb as we explore different materials, styles and concepts and make a collaborative riso-printed zine together. Moving Here As Love: Making A Collaborative Zine About Becoming Love

A Zine Workshop For You and Your Art Buddy About Becoming Love In this class we will work together to make a zine about how to become love. What *is* love? How would “becoming love change” the way we move about this planet? Love without condition, without judgement. Love beyond even the concept of love, moving inside and as this love.
