Poetry Workshop with Doc Luben
August 9, 2020 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm
FreeJoin us for a poetry writing workshop with our dear friend, Doc Luben!
This is a free workshop with an opportunity to tip the workshop leader for their time.
Workshop Description:
This workshop series will focus on writing about your personal journey and day-to-day challenges, with an emphasis on magic-realism and extended metaphor, and on poetry as a means of storytelling.
Doc Luben has been a featured poet at diverse venues throughout North America, from coffee shops to colleges to ComicCons. They have been featured at Button Poetry, the Phoenix Comic-Con, Write About Now, and the California Institute Of The Arts. Doc has produced three poetry collections, including Love Letters or Suicide Notes. They know secrets only robots know. They have represented Portland, OR at Eight National poetry events.
Everyone is welcome! We ask that you be respectful of everyone in the workshop and be aware of the space you are taking up. See you there!
