Please join us for the rare opportunity to hear three novelists read from their latest work.

M. Allen Cunningham’s  new novel Perpetua’s Kin is a multi-generational mystery and reworking of Hamlet eleven years in the making, and is among New York Magazine‘s Most Anticipated Novels of the season. Cunningham’s prior novels include the American Booksellers Association #1 Indie Next Pick The Green Age of Asher Witherow, an experimental biographical novel of Rainer Maria Rilke entitled  Lost Son, which The Oregonian named among its Top 10 Books of the Northwest, and Partisans, a Finalist for the Flann O’Brien Award for Innovative Fiction. His work has appeared in many publications, including Tin House, Glimmer Train, and The Kenyon Review,  and he is the recipient of an Oregon Literary Fellowship and two Oregon Arts Commission Fellowships. Grant support for Perpetua’s Kin was provided by the Regional Arts & Culture Council.

Tony Ardizzone is the author of four novels, including The Whale Chaser and In the Garden of Papa Santuzzu, as well as several collections of stories. His many awards include two National Endowment for the Arts fellowships, the Flannery O’Connor Award for Short Fiction, the Milkweed Editions National Fiction Prize, and the Chicago Foundation for Literature Award. His work has appeared in many journals and magazines such as The Georgia Review, Ploughshares, and Prairie Schooner, and has been widely anthologized. His latest book is The Arab’s Ox: Stories of Morocco.

Dan DeWeese’s novel You Don’t Love This Man was a finalist for the Oregon Book Award and a winner of the Debut-litzer Prize from Late Night Library. He is also the author of Disorder, a story collection that was named the inaugural title of the Oregon Book Club. His fiction has appeared in publications including Tin House, New England Review, and The Normal School. DeWeese is the founder and publisher of the Portland-based Propeller Books, and the arts & culture magazine Propeller Quarterly. His latest book is the novel Gielgud.
