This house show will also have featured readings from both Avery Gadling and Bri G.
Avery Gadling is a southern transplant whose accent was lost along the way here. They love their homemade family, Magic, and their four legged toddler. (Who is in all ways, much cooler than he is) In his spare time, Avery can often be found writing, drawing and creating impossible things. Avery released his first chapbook Kitchen WItchin shortly after winning a spot on the 2019 PPS slam team. In it you will find recipes, original poem cuts, and other such magics. Purchase your digital download directly from Avery via Mini and full sized broadsides today. OR Via Instagram and Facebook @GadlingPoetry
Bri Gowdy is a poet from Portland Oregon. In January she was published in The Rising Phoenix Review. Her chapbook There is Room for You Here, ( that is undoubtedly a Scorpio) covers topics such as self love, friendship and god stuff. Bri will be releasing her first book, Holy Soil, through Portland’s own Lightship Press in the fall. Find her on Facebook and Instagram @brigowdypoetry. Bri studies creative writing and publishing at Portland State University from now until she cant take it anymore. And, most importantly, she believes in you.
This show will be held at Pointy House (2930 SE Clay Street) on Friday, October 25th. Door opens & signups at 6:30pm. Some festive snacks and drinks will be provided (on a donation basis) – if you’d like to bring a potluck item, please do!
