CHRISTINA BUTCHER is a freelance writer and veteran from Chaparral, New Mexico. Before serving as a linguist in the U.S. Army, she worked on cultural preservation projects and developed a passion for storytelling and community involvement. She holds a bachelor’s degree in anthropology from New Mexico State University and a certificate in storytelling and content strategy from Washington State University. She lives and writes in Tacoma, Washington.

JONATHAN MERRITT is a mara’akame, a traditional spiritual healer in the lineage of the Huichol people of Mexico’s Western Sierra Madre. As a Sacred Fire Firekeeper, he offers a monthly Community Fire in Portland, Oregon, where he lives with his mate, Dr. Jennifer Means, and their two children, Maya and Eli. His elder daughter, Madeline Kelly Merritt, is an actress and activist in Los Angeles, California.

ARMIN TOLENTINO earned his MFA at Rutgers University in Newark, NJ. His poetry has appeared in numerous literary journals including Common Knowledge, Arsenic Lobster, Hyphen Magazine, and The Raven Chronicles. His debut poetry collection, We Meant To Bring It Home Alive, was published by Alternating Current Press in 2019. He is a former Oregon Literary Arts Fellowship recipient and has been a finalist for the Red Hen Press Benjamin Saltman Poetry Award and the Kundiman Poetry Prize.
