A quarterly reading series featuring writers of fiction, poetry, creative nonfiction, and everything in between, Hodgepodge is back at The Jade Lounge in 2019 with a brand new format!

Our first Hodgepodge reading of 2019 will be hosted by AARON SIMON. Aaron writes about stuff like being Jewish, wasps, possessed dogs, and people whose jobs involve them living temporarily in people’s heads; his parents are very proud of him.

Our guest readers:
1) Amanda Trudell solemnly swears to try not to cry reading her own writing.
2) IGOR BREZHNEV is a poet, an author and an artist – amongst his other sins – who has first-hand experience with confronting depression, homelessness, poverty, and xenophobia, as well as more common ailments like heartbreak and spilled coffee. You can hear Igor’s most recent poetry record ‘Good Days & Bad Days’ at igorbrezhnev.bandcamp.com
3) Coming to you fresh off 4 weeks of Hallmark movies and quality family time, Kristen Casselman will reflect on 2018.

This is a FREE public event for humanoids 21 years of age and older. We invite you to come at 8pm to take advantage of the Lounge’s reasonably priced selection of beer, wine, cocktails, and tasty snacks. Reading starts at 8:15pm.
