Horror Comics with Emily Lewis

FreeCome venture into the depths of darkness where things creep, crawl, ooze, and uncover your worst fears. Learn how to write and draw horror at our new Horror Comic workshop with Emily Lewis! We will go over examples of different types of horror, common tropes, character design, and how to write and draw a compelling horror story. *Please note this workshop will discuss books ranging from all ages to teen plus. Parental discretion is advised.
Emily Lewis is a cartoonist and graphic designer from Houston, TX. She graduated from Texas State University with her BFA and Portland State University with her MFA. She has received a number of grants and residencies for her work, including the Arts Equity Grant from the Regional Arts and Culture Council, and a Precipice Grant for the LGBTQIA2S+ youth educational comics program she co-founded, Miss Anthology. Her books include, Beetle Song, My Sister, Nebulous, and Monsters and Other Magical Beings. She is currently working on Bluebeard, which will be released in 2020.
