Drawing from leaked texts and messages, this exposé seems to show that the heralded and groundbreaking investigation, known as Operation Car Wash, that rooted out corruption in Brazilian politics turned into a coordinated effort between prosecutors and a judge to jail political enemies and clear the path for a Jair Bolsonaro victory in last year’s presidential election.
