Join your host, Jenny Sadre-Orafai, for an amazing night of words from two time National Poetry Slam Champion Anis Mojgani, National Book Award longlistee Chen Chen, and Anisfield-Wolf fellow Leila Chatti.

Please note: this venue is limited to 70 people.

Anis Mojgani is a two time National Poetry Slam Champion, winner of the International World Cup Poetry Slam, multiple-time TEDx Speaker, and the author of five books (all published by Write Bloody Publishing). His work has appeared on HBO, NPR, and in the pages of such journals as Rattle, Paper Darts, Thrush, and Bat City Review. Originally from New Orleans, Anis currently lives in Oregon where he serves on the board of Literary Arts.

Chen Chen is the author of When I Grow Up I Want to Be a List of Further Possibilities, which was long-listed for a National Book Award and won the A. Poulin, Jr. Poetry Prize. His work appears in many publications, including Tin House, The Best American Poetry, and The Best American Non-required Reading. He co-founded and co-runs the literary journal Underblong. He lives with his partner and their pug dog, Mr. Rupert Giles.

Leila Chatti is a Tunisian-American poet and author of the chapbooks Ebb and Tunsiya/Amrikiya. Her poems have received awards from Ploughshares’ Emerging Writer’s Contest, Narrative’s 30 Below Contest, the Gregory O’Donoghue International Poetry Prize, and the Academy of American Poets. She is the Consulting Poetry Editor for the Raleigh Review and her work appears in Ploughshares, Tin House, American Poetry Review, Virginia Quarterly Review, Kenyon Review Online, and elsewhere.

Jenny Sadre-Orafai is the author of Book of Levitations (with Anne Champion), Malak, Paper Cotton Leather, and five chapbooks. Her poetry and prose have appeared in The Rumpus, Cream City Review, The Pinch, The Collagist, and other journals. She is co-founding editor of Josephine Quarterly, Professor of English at Kennesaw State University, and Executive Director of Georgia Writers Association.
