More about Roxi
Roxy Jane Allen is a queer sex worker with an actual heart of gold. She is also a stand up comedian, make up artist, body positive activist, hairstylist, educator, and plus size model. A five-time Eugene Poetry Slam Champion, Roxy has toured throughout the Pacific Northwest, competed nationally at the Texas Grand Slam and Rustbelt Poetry Festival, and is currently one of the administrators for the Eugene Poetry Slam. She uses comedy and wit to disarm her listeners and her sincerity and vulnerability drive her truth deep. Roxy is a reminder of how extraordinary, fragile, and magical a thing it is to be human.
We will be at our new venue, Tiny’s Coffee Northeast! This means our show is all-ages! Everyone is welcome. We do not censor our mic except for instances of hate-speech. Please also note that we start a little earlier then at previous venues.
Accessibility info: Tiny’s is on the 6 bus line, which is a frequent service line. It is a quarter mile from the the streetcar line and about a half mile away from the max. The building and stage is wheelchair accessible and most of the seating can be moved to create space for accessibility equipment. The venue serves food and coffee, so it is not scent-free.
