Portland Review Winter Reading

FreeA winter reading featuring local writers and contributors to our upcoming 2019 anthology (Unchartable: On Environmental Unknowns).
~ Camellia Freeman’s personal essays have appeared in Crazyhorse, Image, Indiana Review, and elsewhere. Past honors include Image’s Milton Postgraduate Fellowship and an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award.
~ Elizabeth Pickard is a writer living in Portland, Oregon. She received the 2018 Tom and Phyllis Burnam Poetry Award, and her poetry and fiction have appeared in Underwater New York, the Portland Review, and elsewhere. She is currently working on a novel about gender, scientists, and the Manhattan Project and a genre-hybrid book about hermits.
~ Daniel Elder lives and writes in Oregon with his cat, Terence. A 2018 Lambda Literary Fellow, Daniel’s writing appears in The Rumpus, Portland Review, Nailed, Vol. 1 Brooklyn, and more. He misses his mom very much.
~ Brian Gard splits his time between Portland and Manzanita. A copywriter by trade, he is the senior partner of a Portland-based corporate public relations firm, which he founded 40 years ago. He will read poems from a book in final preparation, The Fifteenth Line, from which poems have been published in Word & Hand 1 & 2, Open Spaces magazine, The Oregonian, the 2018 North Coast Squid literary journal, as well as in the upcoming 2019 Portland Review anthology.
