Slamlandia House Show – ft. Angel Kofsky

$5It’s time for another Slamlandia house show – this time featuring the lovely Angel Kofsky!
This show will be held at Pointy House (2930 SE Clay Street) on Friday, January 11th. Door opens & signups at 6:00pm, show starts at 6:30pm. Some snacks and drinks will be provided (on a donation basis) but feel free to bring your own!
***There will be a $5 required entry fee at the door***
This house show will have an open mic that you can sign up to read in, as well as short spotlight features from local poets Kate Leddy and Stephen Meads, and a featured slot from Angel Kofsky.
Stereotypically in love with the ocean and the stars, 2018 Java Monkey Slam Champion Angel Kofsky is a bi-disaster gender mosaic mess who loves food, crying, butterflies, and bees. Their hobbies include cooking, crying, butterflies, and bees. Angel has been known to describe themselves as a bittersweet ice cream made of tears, butterflies, and bees. Through their writing Kofsky strives to capture the human condition through a narrative of reclaiming joy, surviving illness, and loving rebelliously especially as those things pertain to food, crying, and various insects including but not limited to butterflies and bees. They probably have a crush on you, but it’s okay, they just want to be friends.
Note of accessibility: The show will take place on the first floor of a house. The performance space is on hardwood floors. There are two steps leading up to the front door of the house. The bathroom is accessible on the first floor. There will be space to sit on the floor or stand, but chairs/couch will also be provided and given priority to those who need it.
