Spring 2020: Filling the Well
May 17, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm
$175Meets online via Zoom. A generative class for beginning and experienced writers who want to be writing but feel stuck on an ongoing project or are fresh out of ideas. The class will explore tools that get the voices flowing (like Anne Lamott’s Shitty First Drafts and opening/beginning strategies from James Scott Bell’s Plot and Structure), alongside fun and challenging prompts that serve as jolts to the imagination to get you writing.
At the end of the course, students will have the opportunity to turn one of the exercises they worked on in class into a short piece and receive feedback from the instructor. This class meets online via Zoom and registered participants will receive information on how to access the meeting a week before the class starts.
