Story with Susan DeFreitas
April 2, 2019 @ 6:30 pm - 8:30 pm
FreeWork, laundry, small children whose dinners we’re supposed to prepare–surely all of them deserve our attention more than the latest novel to have followed us home from Powell’s. But as any reader knows, once you’ve been sucked into a story, you’re along for the ride. Why? Author, editor, and neuroscience geek Susan DeFreitas explores the evolutionary roots of storytelling and how we use stories to help navigate our everyday lives.
