Submission Deadline: Theatre 33: 2020 Summer Series, Play Scripts

Theatre 33 is currently accepting submissions for their 2020 Summer Series. All submissions should be received before midnight December 28th, 2019.

What is Theatre 33 looking for in a script? We are looking for Oregon and Pacific Northwest playwrights.

Mission Statement:
Theatre 333 is a non-profit theatre company in residence at Willamette University. We are dedicated to new play development and advancing Oregon and Pacific Northwest playwrights.

We seek to integrate artistic practice and mentorship with academic inquiry; we hope that the relationship with Willamette University offers unique opportunities for students to gain experience, and for established artists to refine their craft. Theatre 33 takes its name in acknowledgement of Oregon becoming the 33rd state to join the union. Our vision is to build connection within the community as we cultivate and collaborate with Oregon and Pacific Northwest theatre artists.

Basic Requirements:
– Previously un-produced full-length drama or comedy (total 70- to 150-minute running time); intermission preferred.
– Maximum of eight actors, doubling is allowed provided a doubling plan be included with the cast list.
– Submitting author is the sole owner of script copyright.
– Resume.
– Proposal & History of Script (Please tell us a little about your script, where it has come from, and how you believe Theatre 33 can benefit the growth of your piece).
– Statement of Artistic Purpose (This serves as a chance for us to get to know you a little better). Feel free to include any information that you think might help us get to know you as a person and artist.
