Amorak Huey is author of the poetry collections Boom Box (Sundress, 2019), Seducing the Asparagus Queen (Cloudbank, 2018), and Ha Ha Ha Thump (Sundress, 2015), as well as two chapbooks. He is co-author of the textbook Poetry: A Writer’s Guide and Anthology (Bloomsbury, 2018) and teaches writing at Grand Valley State University in Michigan.
Hali F. Sofala-Jones is a Samoan American teacher and writer. She holds an MFA in Poetry from the University of Wisconsin, Madison and a Ph.D. in English from the University of Nebraska, Lincoln. Her poetry has been published both in the United States and abroad, appearing in Nimrod International Journal, The Bitter Oleander, CALYX, Blue Mesa Review, The Missouri Review, The Samoan Observer, and elsewhere. Her debut collection of poetry, Afakasi | Half-Caste is forthcoming in 2019 from Sundress Publications. She lives and works in Milledgeville, Georgia.
Born in South Korea and raised in Montana and Colorado, Leah Silvieus now travels between Florida and New York as a yacht chief stewardess. She is the author of two chapbooks, Anemochory (Hyacinth Girl Press) and Season of Dares (Bull City Press). Her full-length book of poetry, Arabilis, is forthcoming from Sundress Publications in 2019. Shannon Elizabeth Hardwick’s work has appeared in Salt Hill, Versal, The Texas Observer, Devil’s Lake, Four Way Review, Sugar House Review, Huffington Post UK, among others. A graduate from Sarah Lawrence College’s MFA program, Hardwick serves as the poetry editor for The Boiler Journal and her first full-length, Before Isadore, was recently published by Sundress Publications.
Danielle Sellers’ poems have appeared in Prairie Schooner, Subtropics, The Cimarron Review, Smartish Pace, and elsewhere. She is the author of two collections of poetry: Bone Key Elegies (Main Street Rag 2009) and The Minor Territories (Sundress Publications 2018). She teaches Literature and Creative Writing at Trinity Valley School in Fort Worth, Texas.
Chen Chen is the author of When I Grow Up I Want to Be a List of Further Possibilities, which was longlisted for the National Book Award and won the Thom Gunn Award for Gay Poetry, among other honors. Bloodaxe Books will be publishing a UK edition in June. Chen’s work appears in many publications, including Poem-a-Day, The Best American Poetry, The Best American Nonrequired Reading, and Best of the Net. He teaches at Brandeis University as the Jacob Ziskind Poet-in-Residence.
Avery M. Guess (@averymguess) received a 2015 NEA Fellowship for Poetry. She’s a PhD student at USD and assistant editor for poetry at South Dakota Review. Her chapbook, The Patient Admits, is out from dancing girl press, and her full-length poetry collection, The Truth Is, will be published in April 2019 by Black Lawrence Press. Luci Brown is an Appalachian highlander currently pursuing nonprofit work in the bourbon barrel hills of Louisville, Kentucky. Her chapbook, Home Brew, was published in 2015, and her work has appeared in Moon City Review, Rogue Agent, Menacing Hedge, and others. She is the managing and poetry editor for Stirring, reader for Best of the Net, and board member at Sundress Publications. She lives with her tall partner, particular child, and strange dogs.
Cameron Barnett holds an MFA from the University of Pittsburgh and teaches middle school English. He’s an editor for Pittsburgh Poetry Journal, and a 2018 nominee for the Carol R. Brown Creative Achievement Awards. His recent work has appeared in The Florida Review, The Minnesota Review, Rattle, and IDK Magazine. His first collection, The Drowning Boy’s Guide to Water (Autumn House Press) was a finalist for an NAACP Image Award. Cameron’s work explores the complexity of race and the body for a black man in today’s America.
S. Brook Corfman is the author of Luxury, Blue Lace, chosen by Richard Siken for the Autumn House Rising Writer Prize, and two chapbooks: the limited-edition letterpress Meteorites (DoubleCross Press 2018) and the digital chapbook of performance pieces The Anima (GPDF 2019).
