Freewifi is very excited to present a night of sound and performance work by Felisha Ledesma and maximiliano. wifi (Eric Fury, Tabor Dark) will provide DJ support. Works by Harun Farocki will also be screened. Cheap refreshments will be available.
MAXIMILIANO (b.’89)
is a performance & video artist using maroon space societies & our solar system billions of years ago (filled with cosmic black life on planets such as VENUS , the MOON, & MARS) as impetus of a black mythos – epoch. sampling & rupturing audio & video spatially, forming BLKWVV aesthetic (black reclamation rococo) unMOORing (othellx) mulattidad ;ideas of pre-earth blackness.

FELISHA LEDESMA
is an interdisciplinary artist and organizer based in Portland, Oregon. Ledesma is the Director of S1, an artist run space that focuses on experimental sound, critical contemporary art, and non-traditional education. Felisha co-founded the Synth Library – a low-cost resource for hands-on access to synthesizers, DJ gear, recording equipment and other electronic instruments for people of all experience levels. She has been exploring field recording and tape collage, modular synths, and the sound of secrets.

is the sound work moniker of manuel arturo abreu, a poet and artist from the Bronx currently based in Portland. They like small room house, club-feasible worship music, and crowd-friendly conceptualism. They have opened for acts like RP BOO, Flava D, Ana Sia, White Visitation, Yung Bruh, The Range, Keane Nwede, Machine Girl, Jono Mi Lo, and more.
