Kim Shuck is a silly protein. Shuck is solo author of nine books, two prose and seven poetry. She has edited, co-edited, or assistant edited a further eight anthologies of poetry, primarily from around the San Francisco Bay Area. Kim served as the 7th Poet Laureate of San Francisco and when the pandemic shut down started she organized a poem of the day project through the San Francisco Public Library, featuring street poets, young poets, elder poets and every once in awhile a well known poet. She hosts at least three poetry events a month, two of which are online and feature open mics. Shuck’s latest books are Exile Heart, a collection of poems from That Painted Horse Press, and Noodle Rant Tangent, a collection of cranky essays from Andover Street Archives Press. You can find more information about Kim at kimshuck.com.
