We are against hate which targets continually marginalized people, no matter if they are Asian, Asian-American, Pacific Islanders, Black, Indigenous, people of color, and LGBTQ+ identifying. We support movements for reform, protest, and equality. A collection of resources and organizations working toward these efforts, and those which offer support, can be found here.

We will continue to amplify marginalized voices, and welcome all, their ideas, their events, and their words. Our words here are not enough, but we wanted to say we support you and will continue to do so through our actions.

Sometimes you need a story more than food. Let a retired librarian, a favorite grandpa, and a homeschooling mom entertain you with tales that are seeing them through these difficult times. From fantastic lore and witchcraft to personal fables and faux pas, it's an evening sure to sustain you...at least for the night! Pam Maben believes that our stories tell us who we are and offer us wisdom as we navigate our lives. As a school librarian she was introduced to a wide variety of stories especially folklore and mythology that has been an inexhaustible source of possible ways of looking at the world. COVID NOTE: Due to the Multnomah County Mask Mandate, all audience members will be required to wear a mask while in the theatre. ShoeBox theatre is requiring proof of vaccination to be shown at the door. The theatre is equipped with an HVAC system. Audience size will be limited to 35. All performers are fully vaccinated. In March, 2020, Danse Macabre was set to premiere.
