OUR FEATURE: Kate Leddy Kate Leddy is a writer and mental health activist from Portland Oregon. She was born and raised in New York and still has strong opinions about bagels. Kate represented Portland at the 2018 Individual World Poetry Slam as well as the 2018 National Poetry Slam. Portland Heat Soirée

Portland Heat is a collection of poetry by Hannah Vogel that started as a love letter to a city and ended up being a series of poems that reflect on the tensions of the artist/muse relationship and the cosmological connection between two people that aren't meant to be together. It is incredibly tender, sweet and a wonderful work of poetry. The books were hand-written, hand cut and hand stitched. It also marks Zines + Thing's first adventure into a ~real publishing space.
