Today, author and illustrator Alison Farrell joins us to read from her new picture book, The Hike (Chronicle). With lyrical language that captures the majesty of the natural world, The Hike tells the victorious story of three girls' friendship – and their tribulations and triumphs in the great outdoors.
In this twist on the traditional “telephone” game, participants will alternate drawing and writing to create hilarious, meandering narratives. We bring paper and pencils, you bring yourself (and gently used or new children’s books to donate to The Children’s Book Bank). Terrible drawing and writing skills not only invited, but strongly encouraged. Get ready to laugh your butt off.
