AWP Offsite: Books & Brass

Join The Conium Review for a night of #AWP19 offsite readings from Theodora Bishop, TJ Fuller, Rachel Lyon, Simone Person, Caitlin Scarano, Rebecca Schiff, and Eliza Tudor. Readings from 6:00 to 7:30. After the readings, authors will be selling and signing books. Plus there will be free swag from Conium Press! Stick around for a live jazz performance from the Michael Raynor Quartet. The band starts playing at 8:00pm. Please note: the readings are free, but there is a $5 cover if you stay for the music. If you anticipate staying for the band, it's highly recommended that you make a reservation for that portion of the evening; seating for the music fills up fast!

Book Launch: “The Butter House,” by Sarah Gerard

Celebrate the release of The Butter House, a new book from Lambda award-winning author Sarah Gerard. The Butter House follows a woman who moves to Florida and becomes a caretaker for a feral cat colony. Publishers Weekly says, "With precise and lush details, Gerard captures a sense of life's fragility amid new possibilities." Hosted by Portland-based publisher, Conium Press, this event will feature an author discussion between Sarah Gerard and James R. Gapinski. Paperback and limited-edition hardcover copies will be available, and there will be a book signing after the event. Keys Lounge is a 21+ venue with a full food and drink menu, including vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options.
