BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!! We are proud to present a kid-friendly all ages Drag Queen storytime welcoming back the fun, entertaining, and sparkly Poison Waters. She will read stories about diversity and inclusion and follow it up with a dance party. There will also be time for Q&A and photos! Wearing/bringing of dress up accessories such as feather boas, tiaras, and wings.
Children of all ages and adults are invited to our first Drag Queen Story Hour, a family celebration promoting inclusivity and creativity, and featuring special guest Clare Apparently, who will be reading Julián Is a Mermaid by Jessica Love and Love, Z by Jessie Sima. Created by Michelle Tea, Drag Queen Story Hour now happens regularly all over the world. This event is proudly cosponsored by Q Center, the largest LGBTQ2SIA+ community center in the Pacific Northwest. Come join us!
Join Poison Waters and special drag queen guest performers to celebrate the freedom to read and have fun by playing Banned Books Bingo. By focusing on efforts across the country to remove or restrict access to books, Banned Books Week draws national attention to the harms of censorship. This event is for an adult audience. This event will be held at the Alberta Abbey, 126 NE Alberta St. Enjoy food and drinks for purchase at the Abbey's cafe. Doors open at 6pm Seats available at 6:30pm Showtime at 7pm

Join us for this special storytime featuring the fabulous Poison Waters reading stories about inclusion and diversity, followed by a craft or dance party.
