👻 The IPRC will be open Sunday 9/4 for special Ghost Print Zine studio time! 👻 Kids and teens are welcome to stop by between 2-5pm to hang out and make art to go into the next issue of the zine. 🎨 Feel free to bring what you like to create with! Tech Support Group Register here Mondays, 7-8:30pm PST via Zoom August 29th – Sept. 19th $30 – $75 sliding scale 3 no-cost spots available (BIPOC & 2S Prioritized) In this four-part workshop meets peer support group, we will gather to cultivate community and creative consciousness around the complex presence that smartphones have in our lives. Each meeting will include space for sharing and exploring creative prompts aimed at inviting curiosity, embodiment, experimentation and play into our interactions with our phones. The monthlong group will conclude with a collaborative Tech Support zine, which may include drawings, writings, poems, prompts, experiments, photos, etc that are reflective of experiences from the course. Sidewalk Sale: I’m Having Top Surgery

In June, IPRC member Rimona Eskayo published their first book, I’m Having Top Surgery: An Illustrated Guide For You And Me. ⭐️ Part-essay, part-handbook, and full-on love poem to my community, this 96-page risographed book draws upon my experiences of top surgery alongside the knowledge of trans scholars, healthcare experts, and friends. A special thanks to Regional Arts & Culture Counsel for their funding and belief in this project. Come by the IPRC on Saturday, September 10th for an outdoor sidewalk sale (where our garage door is on Main St.) between 2 and 5 pm. Book pre-oders can be placed through Rimona’s online shop HERE.

Come and enjoy a feature by Kim Shuck and bring your poem to our open mic. ~ About Our Feature ~ Kim Shuck is a silly protein. Shuck is solo author of nine books, two prose and seven poetry. She has edited, co-edited, or assistant edited a further eight anthologies of poetry, primarily from around the San Francisco Bay Area. Portland Correspondence Co-op

IPRC (Independent Publishing Resource Center) 318 SE Main Street #175, Portland, OR, United States

PDXCC is a monthly gathering where participants make and share analog correspondence in the great mail art tradition of Ray Johnson and Anna Banana: art and conversation through the mail. This uniquely democratic, DIY art form incorporates writing, drawing, collage, rubber stamps, faux postage, decorative tape, typewriters – anything goes, as long as it goes through the mail. Hang out, skill share and send the glorious results through the mail. Monthly events hosted by the Portland chapter of the Correspondence Co-op and Niko Courtelis. Basic materials will be on hand (scissors, glue sticks, envelopes’85), but you’re encouraged to bring whatever materials fuel your creative spirit. Free and open to the public, every third Tuesday of the month
