Poet Alice Lavender Love reading from Ted Cheng's SciFi novel THE HUMAN INSIDE. Bizarro author and powerhouse performer Josh Knapton. Punk Classicist poet and Hour virgin, my new homie Ross Robbins. Cafe Lena trailblazer and pillar of the Hour That Stretches, author/ poet/ phenomenon Jennifer Robin, possibly together with or separate from the electronic psychobilly stylings of another Hour pillar, AirOn GhostRadio (Erin K Smith). This reading will be the official release event for HOT, NEW books: Joshua James Amberson’s “Everyday Mythologies,” Delphine Bedient’s “The Last Time My Sadness Was Convenient,” Carol Ellis’s “Hello,” and Ross Robbins’s “The Three EPs.” Zachary Schomburg, Michelle Overby, Izzy Ferguson, and Chris Maday will all be reading new works that may become new Two Plum titles as well. Join Michelle Overby on Thursday, March 7 at 7 pm for an evening of readings and performances with local artists and writers Eva Bertoglio, Julia Wohlstetter, Ross Robbins, Hajara Quinn, Kara McMullen, Isabel Zacharias, Delphine Bedient, Sarah Brahim, and Chris Maday. Michelle is a wife, mother, poet, stenographer, and radical lady. She has published two books of haiku with Two Plum Press of Portland, Oregon. She’s anxiously working on a third book of poetry for Two Plum due out sometime in 2019.
Bone Tax Poem Club is back! Featuring poetry from F.I. Goldhaber and Robert Duncan Gray, and music from Andrew Pendleton, with host Ross Robbins!
This is a partnered reading between writers in the greater Portland area and AWP attendees/published authors. 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m, better to come late than never, and we are serving food as part of a completely optional potluck! Each community member will read a piece onstage, then a conference attendee will read something they've written in conversation with their partner's piece.
