From Broadway Books’s website:

We welcome two esteemed poets to the store on Thursday, November 8th, to read from their latest collections: Barbara Drake reading from The Road to Lilac Hill: Poems of Time, Place, and Memory (published by Windfall Press) and Andrea Hollander reading from Blue Mistaken for Sky (published by Autumn House Press). They will also be reading some poems from the posthumous collection by Ursula K. Le Guin: So Far So Good, published by Copper Canyon Press.

Barbara Drake moved to Oregon as a small child with her parents, growing up in Coos Bay. She earned her BA and MFA degrees from the University of Oregon. As an adult she lived in Michigan for several years, teaching and writing, and returned to Oregon in 1983 to teach at Linfield College. Retired from Linfield, she lives now on a small farm in Yamhill County. She is the author of several books and chapbooks of poetry, a textbook on writing poetry, and two memoirs about country living: Peace at Heart and Morning Light.

Andrea Hollander was born in Berlin, Germany, of American parents, raised in Colorado, Texas, New York, and New Jersey, and educated at Boston University and the University of Colorado. For more than twenty-two years she served as the Writer-in-Residence at Lyon College in Arkansas, which awarded her the Lamar Williamson Prize for Excellence in Teaching. In 2011 she moved to Portland, where she taught writing workshops in poetry and the personal essay at both The Attic Institute and Mountain Writers Series for more than six years before initiating the Ambassador Writing Seminars, which she leads in her home. Hollander is the author of five full-length poetry collections.
