Daily Write with Brian Benson

FreeWriting workshops, at their best, are spaces of uncommon intimacy and connection. Spaces where time slows down and spreads out, where nuance is celebrated, where hours are spent discussing tiny details, unexpected questions, unspoken words. Spaces where all of us can show up, show ourselves, and maybe feel a bit less alone.
Now, especially, we need these sorts of spaces. I do, at least. So, with inspiration from fellow writer Kate Gray, I decided to create one. Every day, for the foreseeable future, I’m offering a free guided writing session, at noon PST, via Zoom. This session is open to everyone, everywhere, and the plan is simple: I’ll welcome you all; we’ll read a short something; I’ll give you a prompt or two; and we’ll all write, together, for twenty minutes.
