Sex. Heat. Abundance. Excess. Juice. Long hot nights, cool rivers, the moon the only witness. In this generative workshop we will take “excursions” into the belly of summer to generate writing and art. For the adventurous and sly. Experimental, mixed genre, utterly liberating.

Please join Domi Shoemaker and Lidia Yuknavitch for the first online Summer Seasonal. While our bodies will not be close enough to transfer heat, the words you put on the page will roll to a slow simmer as we share our work via weekly meetings with Domi on the virtual platform, Zoom.

Domi Shoemaker helped create Corporeal Writing, where they now write, manage space, and lead writing collaborations in Portland, OR. Domi holds an MFA from Pacific University, where they also judge the annual undergrad writing contest and they are a senior fiction editor for Pacific’s Silk Road Journal. Domi has published with platforms such as [PANK] and Nailed Magazines, and they can be found in print with Forest Avenue Press, and in Lidia Yuknavitch’s The Misfit’s Manifesto. Domi has a love for hybrid works and they are currently working in mixed media audio visual forms. You can reach them at domi@corporealwriting.com
