The Friends of the Library highly-missed annual book sale is back in a new and improved way. You now have the opportunity to browse and purchase from their larger inventory four times a year instead of just once. The second Quarterly Book Sale of 2022 will take place at the Library on Saturday, August 13th and Sunday, August 14th — from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day in the Community Room. Be sure to mark these dates and times on your calendar — as the Community Room will be filled with books, CDs, DVDs and merchandise for you to purchase and enjoy for time immemorial. Sales of donated books benefit library programs and purchase. From early readers to teens and adults, the library serves all our community. In June, IPRC member Rimona Eskayo published their first book, I’m Having Top Surgery: An Illustrated Guide For You And Me. ⭐️ Part-essay, part-handbook, and full-on love poem to my community, this 96-page risographed book draws upon my experiences of top surgery alongside the knowledge of trans scholars, healthcare experts, and friends. A special thanks to Regional Arts & Culture Counsel for their funding and belief in this project.
