More about Xylophone: Xylophone Mykland is a neurodivergent, nonbinary lesbian poet. This event is part of the book release for their debut collection, Someone I Can Hold Gently, published with First Matter Press. They were part of the winning slam team at Southwest Shootout in 2018. Come and enjoy a feature by Kim Shuck and bring your poem to our open mic. ~ About Our Feature ~ Kim Shuck is a silly protein. Shuck is solo author of nine books, two prose and seven poetry. She has edited, co-edited, or assistant edited a further eight anthologies of poetry, primarily from around the San Francisco Bay Area. He works as a poet, artist, editor, publisher, and teacher. Open Mic and Poetry Reading at Milwaukie Floral & Garden. Co-sponsored by the Milwaukie Poetry Series and St. John the Evangelist Episcopal Church. Our Featured Readers are Christopher Luna, former poet Laureate of Vancouver, WA, and poets from the Ghost Town Poetry Group. They will be reading their own work or their favorite poets for about 35 minutes. There may be additional Featured Readers. The reading will be followed by an Open Mic.
