The Work Poetry Workshop with Christopher Luna: Monday Night Edition

Join us on the second and fourth Monday of every month for The Work. The Monday Night Edition of The Work takes place from 6-8:30 pm on the second and fourth Monday of each month, unless otherwise noted. These workshops will take place on Zoom until it is safe to do so again in person. Upcoming Monday night workshops will take place on December 28, January 11 & 25, February 8 & 22, March 8 & 22, and April 12 & 26. The Work is a drop-in poetry writing workshop for beginners as well as more experienced writers. In this two-day workshop, we will explore the practice of creating and sustaining a writer's notebook. On the first day, we will begin to use a notebook to catch the wisps of our days and uncover the musings of the deep imagination.  Two weeks later, we will come together to discover how the raw material in the notebook can be transformed into finished pieces of writing. This workshop will have frequent breaks to ease the strain of working online for so many hours, as well as timed writings by hand (again, to ease the time on the computer), and breakout sessions to work one-on-one or small groups.
