His ninth book of poems, Irreverent Litanies, was published by Regal House. He is also writing a series of plays about authors. The most recent of these, Colette Uncensored, had its first staged reading at the Kennedy Center in Washington DC, and ran in London, Barcelona, San Francisco, and Portland. His blog, Advice for Writers, features more than 250 posts on topics of interest to writers. The Friends of the Library highly-missed annual book sale is back in a new and improved way. You now have the opportunity to browse and purchase from their larger inventory four times a year instead of just once. The second Quarterly Book Sale of 2022 will take place at the Library on Saturday, August 13th and Sunday, August 14th — from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day in the Community Room. Be sure to mark these dates and times on your calendar — as the Community Room will be filled with books, CDs, DVDs and merchandise for you to purchase and enjoy for time immemorial. John Carter hosts this very open mic. You’re welcome to share any of your talents from any field of art or other interest. Music and poetry, of course, but also comedy, magic, dance. You can give an art talk about a piece of visual art. You can read a chapter of your dissertation. Let’s share our creative endeavors so that we can all grow through shared inspiration. Starting in March, Wellspring will be on 2nd and 4th Sundays right after Community Art Day. Sign ups start at 6:00 or so.
