The Regional Arts & Culture Council (RACC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that serves artists, arts organizations, schools and residents throughout Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington counties. RACC advocates for public and private investments in the arts, provides grants for artists and arts organizations, manages public art, raises money through workplace giving, conducts arts education in public schools, and provides community services, including workshops for artists, organizational consulting, and a variety of printed and electronic resources. The Professional Development Grant Program supports artists, arts professionals, and arts organizations in Clackamas, Multnomah, and Washington Counties with up to $2,000 toward distinct opportunities that will push forward their creative practice and business skill development. The Professional Development Grant Program is centered on whether the opportunity you would like funding for 1) is distinct from other experiences you have had previously, 2) is timely, meaning you are in a prime position now to benefit from the opportunity, and 3) has potential for new professional growth. Deadline: RACC Support Beam

We're extending the timeline, recognizing the impacts of the protest movement and COVID-19 on the intended community this program is designed to support. Tell your friends and please apply by Friday, June 12th. Support Beam is an initiative to further emerging visual artists making work in Oregon and Southwest Washington over a period of three to six months. The selection panel will prioritize submissions from Black and Indigenous artists, and artists of color. New work produced during Support Beam is artist-defined and can utilize any discipline or media that can ultimately be wall mounted. Individual grants will be between $3,000 and $5,000.
