There is a 5 dollar suggested donation for this event but no one is turned away. We will have a feature from Bri Gowdy! More about Bri: Bri Gowdy is a poet from Portland Oregon. In January she was published in The Rising Phoenix Review. Bri has traveled the country performing poetry and hosting workshops on writing and performance. A Virtual Open Mic

Join us for our first ever Virtual Open Mic! We will make a post on the day of the event for folks to sign up! You will have 3 minutes to read a poem! This event will be held on Zoom. We will post a link 15 minutes before the event for folks to join. You do not need video or microphone capabilities to watch but you do need at least a microphone in order to read. Since this will be our first go at this, there may be some kinks to work out so be patient. We are hoping to do a slam and have features in the future.

Teen Library Story Slam

Got a story to tell? Come and join our Teen Library Story Slam hosted by the Hollywood and Belmont Teen Council. Our theme is "New Beginnings," and your story can be fiction or nonfiction.
