A Virtual Open Mic

Join us for our first ever Virtual Open Mic! We will make a post on the day of the event for folks to sign up! You will have 3 minutes to read a poem! This event will be held on Zoom. We will post a link 15 minutes before the event for folks to join. You do not need video or microphone capabilities to watch but you do need at least a microphone in order to read. Since this will be our first go at this, there may be some kinks to work out so be patient. We are hoping to do a slam and have features in the future.

More about Kas: Kadara “Kas” Scott is a spoken word poet, activist, educator and donations-based childcare provider. Kas performs poetry centered around her experiences with trauma, relationships and being Black in Kentucky. The largely white audiences allow for gentle education in a safe space through spoken word. Teen Library Story Slam
