An annual celebration of Jolabokaflod, the Icelandic Yule Book Flood! While Icelanders celebrate on Christmas Eve Portland will be celebrating in late December. This year, it will be online, as the world is uncertain and we want everyone to feel safe and enjoy their holidays! The event is all about celebrating and supporting local Pacific Northwest indie authors. When it’s in person, it’s a book fair with many author and bookish vendors with music and spirits. 2020 will take us in a different direction. Poetry Through Divination Part One

In this online generative workshop, participants will explore various methods of divination as prompts for poems, including tarot and oracle reading, lithomancy, scrying, and more. We will allow ourselves to be guided intuitively in our creations, suppressing the urge to control the process intellectually.
