Join the Portland Storytellers' Guild for an informal evening of stories shared virtually. Join us to tell. Join us to listen. A friendly supportive atmosphere composed of tellers with all levels of experience. We'll fit in as many tellers as we can, so be prepared to volunteer at the start. Spoken stories (not read) to be limited to 6-7 minutes.

Stand Up Smut is an open mic that welcomes all kinds of adult material. We celebrate your creative erotic imagination! Saucy stories? Explicit erotica? Poetry that gets you wet? We want your sacred smut! Share your creations (participants get in FREE - sign up in advance!) or be an aroused, engaged audience. (Patrons of Dance Naked Creative get in FREE!) PSG Story Swaps are a great way to visit with others that love stories. Story Swaps are open to all whether or not you are a PSG member. You will hear stories from every level of teller; seasoned, first timers, or those in between. Many people come at first just to listen to stories but decide over time to give storytelling a try. Swaps are a safe place for people to take those first steps into the world of storytelling. We like to get in as many tellers as possible. However, we only have so much time. If you want to tell a story, try to arrive early and get your name on the list.

Heatwave: Sizzling stories from the overheated minds of Alton Chung, Anne-Louise Sterry, Ken Iverson and John Wylder. The opening show of the Portland Storytellers' Guild season - a virtual extravaganza. All paid registrants will receive a link the day after the performance to be able to watch a recording of the show. This link will be active for one week. September 11 is an historic day, and as that date approaches, we at The Immigrant Story invite you to join us at an historic event. To commemorate this important occasion, we will present powerful voices of survival and soothing musical accompaniment in a live storytelling event called “I Am My Story: Voices of Hope.” With storytellers from Burundi, Rwanda, Cambodia and Syria, the program focuses on remarkable, first-person tales of courage and fortitude. These brave sagas and resilience in the face of unimaginable atrocities of war and genocide offer hope and inspiration at a time when those qualities are sometimes in short supply. “I Am My Story Live” will also feature performances from world-class musicians.
